Clear Creek Refuge Bird & Butterfly Benefit this Sunday 2/26/12

A Fundraiser at Nelson City Dance Hall
featuring
Music, Storytellers, Great Food, Auction of Art, Antiques & Rustic Collectibles

You Are Invited to Attend a Benefit to Help Save a Historic Hill Country Family Farm
& Wildlife Sanctuary for Migratory Songbirds & Pollinators

WHAT: A special fundraiser where you will have the chance to relax among friends and enjoy music, an auction and savory food. A silent auction and music will go on throughout the day including Zydeco music by Breaux Gumbo. A live auction by “Sheriff John Ranger” of artwork and crafts of local artists, unique antiques and rustic collectibles is to raise funds to help support and preserve Clear Creek Refuge, a beautiful natural habitat and organic farm. Anyone is invited to use the open microphone to perform their original music, tell stories, or read poems between band performances.

WHERE:  At the Nelson City Dance Hall, between Boerne & Comfort. Take the Welfare Road Exit, #533 off I-10, go west on access road one half mile. Address is 825 Highway 289, Boerne, Texas 78006  www.nelsoncitydancehall.net

WHEN: Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

WHY: This benefit is to raise funds to help preserve Clear Creek Farm, a 1904 pioneer homestead, heritage oak woodlands and native grass prairie.  It is a traditional migration destination for nomadic species like the endangered Golden Cheeked Warbler and the Monarch Butterfly, who rest, nest and find the blooming food source and larval host plants they need for their survival. This critical native habitat offers these nomads a place to return to since the beginning of time, supporting the vibrant biodiversity of the Texas Hill Country. When these plants are gone, these species will disappear from the Earth. The most severe drought in Texas history has affected all ranchers across the region, raising the price of hay and feed making it increasingly harder to sustain a farm or refuge like this one. Clear Creek Refuge is a place where visitors can experience wildlife in an original natural environment, watch birds, study wild native plants and animals, walk trails and go back in time to an endangered way of life, the small family farm. It’s a place to remember our inborn need to be part of the cycles of nature.

WHO: The owner Eleanor Crow is a naturalist, farmer, filmmaker, and photographer. Her life goal is to preserve this historic family farm and native habitat in perpetuity to protect the rare plants, birds and animals that live there.

Deeksha Oneness Blessing Circle Saturday 2/18/12

Event Time:     2.15-3.15
Event Location: Yoga Shala 18585 Sigma Road, Suite 105
Event Cost: $20
Website for more Information: www.yogashalasa.com, www.snowflowerhealing.blogspot.com
Event Description:
Deeksha, the Oneness Blessing is the transfer of Divine Grace, which can create a shift in consciousness, creating a sense of peace and oneness. Deeksha means “benediction” or “initiation”. Receiving Deeksha assists each individual in discovering their own path and eases suffering along that path.
Deeksha is not a religion or a religious based practice; it is a non-denominational experience that transfers physical energy, awakening our connection with the oneness in everything, allowing each of us to deepen our relationship with those we love, with ourselves, with strangers and with our creator.
Evolution in one’s consciousness manifests as changes in all spheres of our life – health, wealth, relationships & spiritual growth. The Deeksha brings about a growth in consciousness, thus heightening your life experience. The Deeksha changes emotions and perceptions or helps one be free of perceptions. This shift changes one’s approach to challenges and opportunities since when perceptions change one does not perceive a problem as a problem. When perceptions change reality may also change because the external world is merely a reflection of the inner world. Higher perceptions and positive emotions create a more successful and fulfilling life.
Each Deeksha Blessing giver has been through a oneness course and attunement to be blessed with this ability. The giver is an empty vessel in which Divine energy flows through in order to raise the level of consciousness in individuals, in our communities and beyond.
Deeksha is given by the laying on of hands on the recipient’s head or sometimes through intent so that blessings may be given at a distance. The affects of Deeksha unfold differently in every individual as it depends on what the receiver may need most at the time.
Benefits of Deeksha are cumulative and include:

• Better health
• Better relationships
• Improved brain function
• Greater creativity
• Stress reduction
• Decrease of addictive habits
• Emotional stability
• End to suffering
• Self-acceptance
• More joy & happiness
• Inner peace
• A greater connection to Oneness
• Spiritual awakening & God realization

Insight Events USA and The Toltec Center for Creative Intent are honored to welcome
don Miguel Ruiz, the New York Times best-selling author of The Four Agreements,
to both San Antonio and Austin for a rare appearance!

The last time don Miguel was in Austin he left unexpectedly after receiving news
that a hospital in California had a heart waiting for him. Now, a little over a
year since his heart transplant, don Miguel will bring his immense love and presence
to the Hill Country.
In the tradition of the Toltec, a Nagual (shaman) guides an individual to personal
freedom. After exploring the human mind from a Toltec as well as scientific perspective,
don Miguel has combined old wisdom with modern insights and created a new message
for all mankind, based in truth and common sense. He has dedicated his life to sharing
this new message through practical concepts that promote transformation. His message
is simple and when implemented, even incrementally, changes lives.

The Four Agreements®, published in 1997; was a New York Times bestseller for more
than 7 years and the 36th bestselling book of the decade. Other books have followed;
The Mastery of Love, The Voice of Knowledge, Prayers, Beyond Fear and The Fifth
Agreement, a collaboration with his son Don Jose. All of his books are international
bestsellers.

We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a fantastic evening with one of
the greatest spiritual teachers of our time!

Sincerely,
The Insight Staff
